my changes not reflecting in wordpress | changes to header.php not reflecting

I spent around one hour to find the actual resolution to fix this problem. In wp-admin-> Appearance-> editor. I made changes to header.php and added a logo and text to it.

As expected, I was expecting my changes will reflect, but it didn’t even though header.php has my logo and text to it.
Reason being the contents are getting CACHE your changes are not reflecting.

Next question is how to fix this CACHE problem. All you need to do is go to your wordpress root folder. Open up wp-config.php and change 1 line of code.

initially you can see
define(‘WP_CACHE’, true); //Added by WP-Cache Manager

All you need to do is change this to
define(‘WP_CACHE’, false); //Added by WP-Cache Manager

Note: Before doing this, please keep a backup of wp-config.php.

Editing main wordpress files like this might end up locking your wordpress account. So lets look at better solution

Login to Admin -> settings -> Super cache module

There you will find the checkbox which is by default checked to speed up your website performance due to caching. So untick the checkbox and then update settings by clicking button right at the bottom.

This is always a better way to do.

Third and easiest way is don’t activate Wp-SuperCache module at all. delete it from plugins folder.

Hope this helps and saves your time :)
